Seagate Barracuda Pro 12TB review: the biggest hard drive ever

A monstrous amount of storage in a single 3.5" drive

By

Test results: PCMark7

PCMark 7 uses traces based on software from the Windows 7 era. The benchmark plays the traces in real time. While this results in scores that are relatively close to one another, they are much more indicative of what you can expect in terms of real world performance. Scoring two times as much points in PCMark 7 means that a task will be completed twice as fast in reality.

In PCMark7 the Barracuda Pro 12TB once again shows record scores for hard drives. It is the first drive ever to exceed 3000 points.
