Test method

We test graphics cards using a platform based on Intel Haswell-E. The exact specifications of this test platform are as follows:

We run 3DMark Fire Strike, as well as the following ten games:

  • 3DMark Fire Strike
  • Battlefield 1
  • Civilization VI
  • Doom (Vulkan)
  • Far Cry Primal
  • GTA V
  • Project Cars
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • The Division
  • Watch Dogs 2

The aforementioned games are run at Full HD using two quality pre-sets:

  • 1920x1080 (Full HD) Medium / Normal
  • 1920x1080 (Full HD) Highest / Ultra + 4x MSAA

Based on the scores of the ten most important games we calculate the Hardware.Info GPU Performance Score, which is basically the average result of the measured framerates for every of the tested resolutions/settings. This GPU Performance Score offers the best impression of the performance of graphics cards in one value. 

In the graphs the GT 1030 can be recognized by the blue bars. The RX 550 can be recognized by the yellow bars.
