The Cooler Master Cosmos C700P is an elegant case that continues the Cosmos-tradition, but is still entirely up-to-date.The outspoken design of the case has to appeal to you, but we think the refreshed design in combination with the RGB-led strips and shrouds inside of the case is pretty successful. In our opinion the most important pros of the C700P are the excellent build quality, the extensive build space and the high level of flexibility that the case offers. Cooler Master offers the user the possibility to mount the motherboard in three different ways and the case has enough room for a maximum of nine 3.5 / 2.5 inch trays, which means you should be fine in terms of space for storage. We would have appreciated more than the two trays that Cooler Master includes. Water cooling enthusiasts can also be happy, because of the three places that allow you to mount radiators of up to 420 mm; with this case you will probably not be limited in that regard.
The Cooler Master Cosmos C700P has a double-layered front panel, of which the outer layer is a closed panel with sound dampening material. With this outer layer in place the case is pleasantly quiet and its cooling performance is reasonable, but not exceptional. If you remove the closed panel, a mesh panel becomes visible that lets through a lot more air and therefore results in better cooling performance, but also a slightly higher noise level. The choice is up to you as user.
As stated before whether or not you like the design is up to you, but qualitatively speaking and in terms of possibilities the Cosmos C700P is of a high level. The MSRP of 265 pounds / 299 euros is of course pretty high, but in return you do receive a lot of case and freedom of choice. This is reason enough for us to crown the Cooler Master Cosmos C700P with our Ultimate Product Award.
