Intel Z370 motherboards round-up: 17 times Coffee Lake

The best motherboards with the Z370-chipset

Benchmarks (USB 3.1)

In order to test the maximum read- and write speed on USB 3.1 we use DiskSPD. The fact that the Z370-chipset itself does not offer support for USB 3.1, means that the choice of the manufacturer in regard to the external controller chip should show some variation in the performance. However, we find that the motherboards perform very comparable here. In the read speeds there is a variation of about 6 percent, in the write speeds 4 percent. From these results we can conclude that the manufacturers know what they are doing when it comes to USB 3.1.
