First of all we ran some synthetic benchmarks, starting with Atto, a program that tests the throughput speed at different block sizes, each time with four I/O-requests at the same time. Out of all the benchmarks, Atto usually shows the highest performance, which means that it is an interesting test to measure the maximum speed.
Every model has a read speed in Atto of about 530 MB/s; writing is done at the same speed. This means it is quite a bit faster than its predecessor. The SanDisk Extreme is a lot faster.
