The Corsair Katar is a relatively cheap and compact gaming mouse from Corsair. Its feature set is limited: apart from the DPI switch, there aren't any extra buttons and the lighting on this model is not RGB, instead it features a fixed red colour. This mouse features an optical sensor from Avago, namely the ADNS-3090. This is an older sensor that is no longer used in modern high-end mice.
Unfortunately the performance of this mouse is quite disappointing: at the highest dpi settings the registered speed collapses and we measure negative acceleration. Combine that with a high lift-off distance of 4.1 mm and we can only come to the conclusion that the Katar is not really a recommended purchase.
