ASUS MX34VQ review: more than mere looks

Uwqhd-resolutie at 34" va-technique convinces for a sharp price

The ASUS Designo MX34VQ is a surprisingly good monitor. It seems to be constructed to appeal to the consumer that likes an elegant design, but below the hood it has some impressive muscles, both in terms of refresh rate as well as colour quality. The comparison with a sports car for daily use is fitting: not only does it look great, if you want you can also take it for a ride on the digital highway.

It has something to offer for both gamers as well as graphic designers and compared with the G-sync equipped competitor it costs less. While 752 pounds / 850 euros is far from cheap, this is a standard price for most current 34” wqhd-monitors – older models are more affordable, but you miss out on for example the high refresh rate.

In our opinion the ASUS MX34VQ is an excellent monitor. The only point of criticism is the absence of a height adjustable base. At this price it is simply a must have. That said, this does not refrain us from rewarding the monitor with an Excellent Choice award.
