12 cases review: Glass House for your pc

Glass panels are quickly becoming cheaper

Bitfenix Aurora

Nowadays Bitfenix is an established, albeit small, player in the market. The brand keeps distinguishing itself with remarkable designs. In the case of the Aurora they do not only do this with the design of the front- and top of the case, but also with tempered glass on both the left- and right sides. And that at a price of about 88 pounds / 100 euros. The ability to use an E-ATX motherboard in this case is a remarkable feature, which is possible when removing the upper cage for storage.

Aside from that the interior is pretty simplistic, although finished with rubber and there is enough room to mount storage thanks to the vertically placed holders for 2.5” devices. The case also supports Asus Aura rgb-lighting, which allows you to for example coordinate lighting on your SSDs. There is also room for up to two 280mm radiators, but Bitfenix only supplies a single 12cm fan.

Because of this, the cooling performance is not that great but the noise levels are not that bad. Considering the possibilities and finish, the Aurora is an excellent deal in our opinion even though you might have to add some extra cooling.
