Glass panels are quickly becoming cheaper

Aerocool Project 7 Chassis 1

The Project 7 Chassis 1 case is an Aerocool experiment, with which the brand wants to head into a new direction. The case is characterized by the led lighting on the (closed) front panel with 7 colours and 4 modes and a, for Aerocool, modest appearance. Aside from the standard model the brand also offers the version with tempered glass that we received. It is rather transparent, which means that the mounting points on the cassis are clearly visible through it. This looks less elegant than when some form of tint is used.

Aside from that the Project 7 is a neat case, with plenty of room for (water)cooling and a reasonable amount of storage. It also has four usb connectors, two of which are 3.0, as well as a built-in memory card reader and a fan controller.

The cooling performance at a heat production of 200W is not bad, but at 400W the supplied cooling is not enough. On the other hand, it is rather quiet. Considering all the extras, the average price of slightly more than 88 pounds / 100 euros is not that bad either.
