Glass panels are quickly becoming cheaper

Test results noise levels

As always the noise levels are the counterpart of the cooling performance.

No fans

We also test cases without any spinning fans, purely to find out how effective they are at dampening sound. With models that are equipped with extra material meant for this the graph is interesting enough to add to the review – we find that the differences are mostly small. Note that the Corsair 570X disappoints in terms of sound dampening; so does the In Win 303

7 V

With the fans at low speeds the In Win 509 – which does not have any fans – unsurprisingly ends up at the top. The Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5, the Be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 and the Bitfenix Aurora perform well in terms of noise levels, the rest is trailing behind a bit. The Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX, second when it comes to cooling performance, ends up in seventh place, the cooling winner Corsair 570X ends up at the bottom of the graph.

12 V
