Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti round-up: which one is the best?

ASUS, EVGA, Gigabyte, Inno3D and MSI compared

Overclocking results and SLI

We overclock the processor to 4.5 GHz for our overclocking test. We ran 3DMark Vantage 11, Fire Strike and Fire Strike Extreme with the highest possible stable clock frequencies. All cards ended up between 2050 and 2088 MHz, a difference of less than 2 percent. The ASUS Strix OC clocks the highest by a hair. There was also some performance to be gained in the memory area. The clock speed varied between 1501 and 1553 MHz here, with EVGA beating out the rest. The ASUS, EVGA and MSI cards scored the best overall in the overclocked benchmark scores.

Lastly, a little bonus: we had two Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme cards in our test lab, so we could not resist setting a decent SLI score. We scored 13,819 points in Fire Strike Ultra, with the GPUs running at 2050 MHz and the memory at 1418 MHz. For reference: we scored 12,054 points with the reference GTX 1080 Ti in SLI.
