Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme Edition review

Aorus flagship model turns out to be serious competition

Noise levels and temperatures

Of course this card from Gigabyte also does not produce any noise when idling, since the fans only turn on if the card is under load. This aspect alone is enough for us to not recommend the Founders Edition to anyone.

Under load the Gigabyte card is surprisingly enough the quietest out of the cards we've tested until now. This is quite a turnaround: in the past Gigabyte cards tended to be rather loud. Gigabyte has sacrificed the GPU temperature a bit to achieve less noise, but in our opinion the difference is more than worth it - especially if you take into consideration that Nvidia lets its own card become even hotter. On the next page you can find out all about the cooling efficiency of the cooler.
