Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti review (incl. SLI): faster card for the same price

Titan X made obsolete by new GTX 1080 Ti

Benchmarks: Project Cars

Project Cars is also bottlenecked at Full HD Medium, which is why the Titan X, GTX 1080 Ti and the GTX 1080 SLI perform about the same. Higher resolutions show that this is one of the games where the GTX 1080 Ti is faster than the Titan X. It is obviously also a good deal faster than the GTX 1080. SLI works well, but there is not really a scenario where you get any practical benefit from it. Even a single GTX 1080 Ti is more than enough to get a great framerate at Ultra HD Ultra settings. You will have to look further than Ultra HD: at 12K-resolution (three 4K-screens next to each other) and Ultra settings you get a framerate of 80 fps with two GTX 1080 Ti's in SLI!
