Intel Atom Z3770 ‘Bay Trail’ review: Strong competition for ARM

The Atom processors for tablets give ARM a run for its money

Windows benchmarks: 3DMark06 and 3DMark Ice Storm

The test the performance of the HD Graphics GPU, we ran two 3DMarks: The older 3DMark06 and the Ice Storm test from the new 3DMark.

In 3DMark06, the Atom Z3770 scored 1,907 points. That's about 4x higher than the score of the previous generation Atom in the Acer Iconia W510. The AMD Temash chip scores better as expected, and the Core i3 3229Y and Core i5 3317U perform even better.

In 3DMark Ice Storm the difference is huge between the two Atom generations: from 2,909 points for the Z2760 to 12,129 points for the Z3770. Again the Temash and Core i3/i5 CPUs are of course even faster.
