Nanoxia Deep Silence 2 review: the price of silence

It's pretty silent, but at the cost of almost all cooling

Test results noise levels

Better cooling usually means more noise, and vice versa.

The Nanoxia Deep Silence 2 is very quiet indeed, even if there are even more silent chassis. It doesn't weigh up against the subpar cooling, however.

No fans

We always test chassis with the fans turned off to find out how well they dampen sound. For chassis that have extra sound-dampening materials, this chart is interesting. The Nanoxia Deep Silence 2 is pretty high in the charts here, but there are more silent chassis.

7 V

With fans on low, the Nanoxia Deep Silence 2 is again pretty high in the chart, but below the Deep Silence 1. The noise is barely audible.

12 V

With fans on high, the Deep Silence 2 climbs the chart and is one of the most silent chassis we've tested. 37.2 dB(A) is audible, however, while the cooling performance is subpar.
