Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 review incl. 3-way SLI and frametimes

Updated GTX 680 with fastest video memory yet

A faster GeForce GTX 680 for the price of a GeForce GTX 670, what's no too like? We'll of course have to wait and see whether Nvidia will stick to the promised € 400. If so, the GeForce GTX 770 is a very strong competitor to the AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition. In most games the Nvidia card is faster, and while the framerates are only 5.3% better in Full HD, the difference is more significant for the frametimes. Nvidia has clearly raised the bar, so either AMD will have to drop its prices or it will have to come up with a more competitive 8000 series soon.

The four cards we tested made a good impression. The MSI N770 Lightning is of course the ultimate choice out of the three, it's the most silent and cools the best, and is customized for overclockers. It's also more expensive, but we're already able to get some very nice overclocking results with it, so a Gold Award is definitely in its place here.

We're holding off with any more awards until we know the actual street prices of the ASUS, MSI and Zotac cards.
