Three entry-level Samsung Galaxy smartphones reviewed: Mini 2, Pocket and Y

Affordable smartphones

Test results: CPU performance

Nowadays we use Linpack and Antutu for determining the processing power of the CPU. Linpack measures single- and multi-threaded linear computations, and it scales well to multiple cores. Antutu is a synthetic benchmark that provides individual results for both integer and floating point computations.

The following pages have the benchmark results of the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2, Galaxy Pocket and Galaxy Y, which are marked in red. We compared the three smartphones to other (relatively) affordable ones that we've tested previously. The performance roughly follows how much you pay, you can see this in the charts. You get what you pay for, in other words.
