ASUS ROG Tytan CG8890: a beast of a system

Imposing, powerful and expensive

Noise level and temperature

Here we take a look at how much noise this Tytan creates, and how warm it gets.

Noise level idle

The system is pretty loud when idle.

Noise level active

When the system is in use it is quite noisy, so a headset can be useful.

CPU temperature idle

The temperature of the processor gets relatively high.

CPU temperature under load

To measure the processor temperature under load, we run the Cinebench 11.5 benchmark with Realtemp in the background. We record the highest temperature. 55 degrees is relatively cool, so the water cooling is doing its job.

GPU temperature idle

The graphics card is the other main heatsource, and it stays relatively cool when idle.

GPU temperature under load

We run the demanding benchmark Heaven 2.5 to measure the temperature of the graphics card under load. Here it gets very warm.
