LG IPS277L-BN review: LG's latest generation IPS monitor

The new flagship IPS display from LG does not disappoint

Test results colour temperature and fidelity

Colour fidelity is one of the selling points of the LG IPS277L-BN, at least LG promises a lot in this area. We tested it with out-of-the-box settings.

Native colour temperature

The temperature of 6,562 K is almost perfect.

Deviation from ideal colour temperature

It performs very well compared to similarly prices monitors.

Deviation from ideal greyscale gamma

The value of 2.2 is exceptionally low, again the IPS277L-BN is at the top of the chart.

Greyscale tracking

The greyscale deviation is one of the lowest that we've ever measured, which is an indication of exceptional colour fidelity. LG's claim of calibration seems to be warranted. The human eye cannot detect any colour deviations with value of less than three.
