SAMSUNG, a leader in LCD monitors for the past 17 years and the world's second largest manufacturer of monochrome laser printers, has set its focus on expanding the SAMSUNG printer business in the B2B market this year. In 2005, SAMSUNG enjoys a double-digit growth of more than 33 per cent in the printer business for Southeast Asia and Oceania.
"SAMSUNG is one of the few printer makers that have their own technology of designing laser printer engine. We introduced SAMSUNG SCX-4200, the world's smallest multi function laser printer in 2006, which is based on our world-proven semiconductor technology. Also, with our patented technology of NO-NOISTM, we have just delivered SAMSUNG CLP-300, the world's first and smallest colour laser printer to realize the quiet working environment. SAMSUNG will continue to develop more innovative printing solutions to improve office environment and enhance office productivity." Said Mr Ng.

At this year's SAMSUNG IT Roadshow, SAMSUNG showcased its print solutions and comprehensive range of Colour Laser Printers (CLP), Mono Laser Printers (MLP) and Laser Multi Function Printers (MFP), catering to diverse segments in the B2B market, from the budget-conscious Small Office, Home Office (SOHO) users to the discerning Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) and even the high-volume Multinational Companies (MNC) commercial market.

The printing industry has witnessed accelerated growth in both colour laser and multi function devices. Shifting from the mere criteria of printing speed and resolution, SAMSUNG developed smarter compact printers and intelligent solutions - with versatile capabilities to handle complex processing and workflows in both wired and wireless network environments. The latest range of printers demonstrates ease-of-use, ease-of-management, ingenious digital scanning capabilities and wide-ranging suite of B2B printing solutions, allowing users to work in a seamless integrated environment. In the top-three position globally1 in the MLP and mono laser MFP segments, SAMSUNG looks to its award winning High-speed Laser Beam Printers (LBP), high-end MFPs and revolutionary printing solutions to drive deeper penetration into the corporate printer market.

With more than 50 international design awards for its printers, including the International Design Forum iF Design Award, Industrial Design Excellence Award (IDEA), Ergonomic Design Award by Ergonomics Society of Korea and Japan-G-MARK Good Design Award, SAMSUNG continues to focus on R&D and leverage its leading technologies to develop premium quality and reliable printing products and solutions for various business needs, from SOHO users and SMBs to large MNCs.
