New USB 3.0 external hard drives by Buffalo

Buffalo has announced the Mini Station Turbo PC EX2, a portable external hard drive. The drive has a sturdy enclosure and is available in capacities of 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB. The thickness is dependent on the chosen capacity: the 500 GB model is 11.5 mm thick, while the 1 TB and 2 TB variants are respectively 14 and 19.5 mm thick. The width and depth of all three is identical, 11.5 x 7.6 centimetres.

The external drives have a USB 3.0-interface and consume no more than 0.95 watts whilst in standby mode. The 500 GB version starts at $100, while the 1 TB and 2 TB models cost $140 and $280 respectively.
