With the holidays just around the corner, this one may be an interesting present for your children. Ematic has developed a 7-inch Android 4.0 tablet specifically intended for a young audience. The FunTab 7 has a capacitive touchscreen with an 800x480 pixel resolution. It is powered by an unknown 1.2 GHz processor. The system has 512 MB of storage capacity, which can be expanded through the available microSD card slot. Cameras have been integrated on both sides of the tablet.

The FunTab 7 should last between five and eight hours on a single charge, Ematic claims. A special 'Kids Mall' application store will be accessible, allowing parents to download games and apps for their young. Games such as Angry Birds, Cut The Rope and Fruit Ninja will be available. A Zoodles Kid-mode is available for the youngest, and the tablet has an integrated art studio app. Parents can manage the system thanks to various parental controls. Support for interactive eBooks is also present, which may come in handy as a learning tool. In the United States, the tablet is available for a price of $119 (£75). Ematic has not yet mentioned an international price and release date.
