About two weeks ago, NZXT introduced the Kraken Series watercooling, two closed circuits with radiators of 140 mm (Kraken X40) and 280 mm (Kraken X60). The manufacturer has now announced a new line of aircoolers, the Respire Series. The line will initially consist of two models; the T20 and T40..The Respire T20 has dimensions of 124x160x65 mm, weighs 510 grams (including fan) and feature three heatpipes. Two of the heatpipes have a 6 mm diameter, with the third having an 8 mm diameter. The heatsink is equipped with a 120 mm fan, that ranges in speed from 1300 to 1800 RPM. NZXT claims that, at low speeds, the fan displaces 49.3 CFM of air, whilst producing 26.5 dB(A) of sound. At high speed, these values are 68.8 CFM and 34 dB(A). The cooler is bundled with mounting materials for Intel's socket 775, 1155, 1156, 1366 and 2011. AMD's sockets FM1, AM2, AM2+, AM3 and AM3+ are supported.
The T20's big brother is called Respire T40. This model is sized 134x160x85 mm and weighs 750 grams (fan included). The cooler has four 8 mm thick heatpipes and the same fan as the T20. It also supports the same sockets, with materials having been enclosed.
NZXT's Respire T20 and T40 have recommended prices of $29.99 (£19) and $39.99 (£25). The manufacturer provides two years of warranty with its coolers.
