Eizo has introduced five new monitors for business users. The manufacturer has developed the new EcoView monitors with energy efficiency in mind. Eizo claims that the use of special techniques makes the monitors up to 50% more efficient than previous models. Among these eco features are Auto EcoView, EcoView Sense and Optimize. Auto EcoView optimizes the screen's brightness, while the EcoView Sense and Optimizer technologies are used to dim the backlights and switch the monitor off automatically when idle. All five of the new monitors feature LED backlighting.
The first in the series is the EV2316W, a 23-inch Full HD monitor. The LED-backlit TN panel provides a 1000:1 static contrast ratio and a brightness of 250 cd/m². Eizo claims an average power consumption of 14 watts, with a maximum of 43 W.
The EV2336W is a 23-inch Full HD monitor as well. On this model, the TN-panel has been substituted by an IPS-panel. The panel has a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 250 cd/m2 brightness. The average power consumption is 16 watts, with the maximum being 47 watts.
The EV2416W is a 24-inch monitor with a TN panel and LED backlight. This screen has a 1920x1200 pixel resolution. Like the other two monitors, the EV2416W has a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 250 cd/m2 brightness. Power consumptions are specified at 15 watts (average) and 49 watts (maximum).
The EV2436W is a 24-inch IPS monitor, also with a 1920x1200 pixel resolution. The screen has a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m². The power consumption is specified at respectively 19 and 60 watts.
Lastly, there's the EV2736W. This 27-inch monitor has an IPS-panel with a 2560x1440 pixel resolution. This panel has a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m² and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The power consumption of this screen averages 24 watts, with a maximum of 67 watts.
Apart from integrated stereo speakers, the five monitors feature DisplayPort, DVI-D and D-Sub video inputs, in addition to a USB-hub and audio output. An exception is the EV2736W, which only has DisplayPort, DVI-D, the USB-hub and audio output.
