Foxconn has introduced two barebones for consumers in need of simple and quiet systems.
The Nano AT-5300 features an Intel D2700 2.13 GHz processor, while the AT-5600 runs on an AMD E-450, a 1.65 GHz Brazos APU. Up to 4 GB of DDR3 SODIMM can be added to the barebones, as well as a 2.5-inch hard disk or SSD. The case is sized 190 x 135 x 38 mm and weighs about 600 grams. Connectivity includes USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, D-Sub and a memory card reader. Network connections are available in the form of WiFi 802.11n and Gigabit LAN. Foxconn has specified a 24 W power consumption for its new barebones.
Foxconn's Nano AT-5300 and AT-5600 are both priced under $200 USD and should hit shelves shortly.
