Earlier this year, Point of View launched the 13,3" Mobii notebook with an Intel ULV-processor. Now that the technology has had time to be further developed, Point of View has announced a compact 11,6" edition of the Mobii notebook. APart from the smaller dimensions, the appearance has also been slightly altered. The 11.6" laptop is powered by an Intel Celeron SU2300 ULV processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The system features 2 GB of memory and a hard disk with a 160, 250 or 320 GB capacity.
The notebook sports both a VGA and an HDMI output, both of which can be used by the onboard Intel GMA 4500 videochip. This chip is DirectX 10-compatible and is able to relieve the processor during HD video playback. THe new 11,6" Mobii is suitable for HD-ready video content, due to the screen's 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. Other features include 100Mbit ethernet, two USB-ports and audio jacks. WiFi is integrated and Bluetooth functionality can optionally be added as well. The notebook is equipped with two 1,5 Watt speakers. Information regarding price and availability is not yet available.
