12 Mini-ITX chassis review: compact quality

A fully-fledged PC in a small chassis is perfectly possible.

Cooler Master surprised as at last year's Cebit fair with a second Mini-ITX chassis, the Elite 120 Advanced. It's very different than the older model, the Elite 100, which was very small like the Antec ISK100. The Elite 120 is a bit bigger.

Still compact with a volume of 20 dm³, it does have room for a dual-slot graphics card, a 3.5-inch hard disk, two 2.5-inch drives, a full-size optical station, and an ATX PSU. There's even an opening for a water cooling tube, and with a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and audio jacks, the Elite 120 is modern enough.

The chassis has two built-in fans and is one of the better at cooling. It's easy to install components, and the finish is very good. All things considered, we really like this chassis. And to top it off, it only costs £36.
