ESR-300H
The EnGenius ESR-300H is the entry-level model. You get the bare minimum of connectors, consisting of four LAN ports and a WAN port. These are Fast Ethernet ports, which means that the transfer rate is limited to 100 Mbps. It makes the router unsuitable if you send a lot of data over your network. On the top there is a row of fairly small, blue LEDs and a WPS button. It's easy to reach, something that can't be said for all printers. The antennas are external and can be replaced by more powerful ones. On the bottom there are holes so you can mount it on a wall, a feature that's present on all three routers in this review..
The hardware inside is pretty modest. There's a small PCB with a wireless Realtek RTL8192CE chip for the 2.4 GHz band. The Realtek 8196C functions as CPU and switch.
