If you're looking for a laptop that has all the connectors and a DVD burner, you don't have that many options these days. Many Ultrabooks don't have a DVD burner, but that's not the case with the Dell Inspirion 14z.
The Dell Inspiron 14z is an Ultrabook, but a little thicker and heavier than the typical Ultrabook. Including battery it weighs 1.84 kg, which is lighter than the average 15-inch laptop, but it's still quite a bit. The 14z also doesn't look very sleek when you look at it from the side. Its height of 2.38 cm, including feet, is still slimmer than most notebooks.
The working environment provided by the Inspiron 14z is great, but there is room for improvement. The keys on the keyboard jump back too quickly, and the plastic between the touchpad and the keyboard is too thin. On the other hand, the touchpad feels great. The 14-inch display has a resolution of 1366x768 pixels and a glossy finish.
