Introduction
Android tablets are starting to become more affordable, and for less than £350 you can already find tablets from the high-end brands. We tested two that were recently launched, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Toshiba AT300. We compared them with each other and also with the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 that we reviewed several months ago.
At an average price of £335, the Toshiba tablet is about £40 cheaper than the Samsung tablet, which in turn costs about £25 less than the ASUS tablet. However, the starting price of the Samsung is considerably lower than that of the Toshiba AT300. It is fair to say, then, that the Samsung is the cheaper tablet. The big question obviously is whether you should get the more expensive Toshiba or whether you should go for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
