Conclusion
The four smartphones in this round-up are the high-end Android phones of the moment. If you're looking for a fast smartphone, any of these is an excellent choice. The HTC One S is the odd one out in this review. It is by far the cheapest out of the four, and also the smallest. That can be an advantage since the HTC One X, LG P880 4X HD and Samsung's Galaxy S3 are all very large phones. Despite of this, the performance of the HTC One S is very good, provided you have the Z520E dual-core Snapdragon S4 version like the one we tested. It makes this phone a strong recommendation if you're looking for a smaller high-end phone with great performance and attractive design at a more reasonable price.

The three other phones are about the same size and come equipped with quad-core processors and an HD display. The HTC One X and the LG 4X HD are more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy S3.

When we weigh all of the pros and cons, then the LG phone takes last place. In terms of design, screen quality and software the Samsung and HTC phones have our preference. If we look at purely the design, then the HTC One X is our favourite. With its unibody design it is very good-looking, and the excellent LCD screen is integrated beautifully. If we take all the criteria into consideration, then the Samsung Galaxy S3 (barely) takes the crown. Not only because of the outstanding performance, but also for the ability to replace the battery and increase the internal storage capacity.
