Performance: CPU

The Acer Iconia Tab A700is marked in red in the chart below. We compared the A700 to other Tegra 3 tablets that we've tested along with the latest iPad. The Apple tablet doesn't appear in every graph because not every benchmark runs on all platforms.

We used three CPU benchmarks. BenchmarkPi calculates the number Pi as fast as possible, Linpack provides an indication for floating point performance by calculating a large number of linear comparisons and CPUBenchmark is based on various workloads.

The performance of the A700 is better than that of the A510, but generally doesn't equal the performance of the ASUS Infinity. That's no surprise considering the higher clock frequency of the Tegra 3 in the Infinity. Compared to other ASUS models the difference is smaller, and sometimes it's faster.
