Performance 2x 1 Gigabit
In order to test the speed of the NAS with two network ports we also use NAS Tester 1.2. The NAS is connected to the computer by means of two network connections. We created a RAID 5 volume with four disks, and used two network ports to simultaneously put a load on it with NAS Performance Tester.
We were unable to run our usual test in which two individually configured hard drives are simultaneously put under load, because the Thecus N4100EVO only supports a single disk configuration at a time. The Thecus is clearly not as good as the two more expensive Synology NAS systems.
