Last month, images of an EVGA Mini-ITX motherboard surfaced, based on Intel's Z77 chipset. During the Gamescom conference in Germany, EVGA had the same motherboard on display. The board is compatible with Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge processors based on the LGA 1155 socket. It has two memory slots, a PCI-Express 3.0 slot and two SATA 6.0 Gbit/s connectors, with two additional SATA 3.0 Gbit/s connectors. Compared to earlier photos, it seems EVGA has removed a number of heatsinks to better reveal the board's components.
Contrary to earlier rumours, the I/O panel of the motherboard doesn't have a Thunderbolt connector, but a blue mini-DisplayPort connector. Other I/O connectivity includes several USB 3.0 ports, as well as 7.1-channel audio.
EVGA's Z77 Mini-ITX motherboard is to launch soon.
