Swiftech has announced the Maelstrom reservoir, intended for modular water cooling setups based on its own MCP35-series of pumps. The Maelstrom fits in the space of two 5.25" drive bays and is available both separately and with either one or two matching pumps. As a result, the pricetag ranges from $89.95 (£58) to $279.95 (£179).

Because the Maelstrom fits in the front of a chassis, special attention has been given to its appearance. A transparent panel shows the water level, as well as any possible colouring. Three small 3 mm notches are present to add LEDs in order to light the fluids. Swiftech has bundled a single UV LED. A digital display on the front is used to provide information on the water temperature.

A refill opening is present on the top, which has a chromed seal. The capacity of the water reservoir is specified at 234 cm³. The Maelstrom is 86 mm deep and is powered by a single molex connector. It can also be used to create up to three return loops.

As of yet, Swiftech has not revealed any information on the availability in Europe.
