As is usual during the development of a new Apple product, rumours and alleged specifications are surfacing all across the web. Recently, the Chinese microblog site Sina Weibo, released a number of alleged product images that display the casing of the Apple iPad Mini, the 7.85" version of the new iPad. While the validity of these pictures can't be traced, what stands out is that there's no rear-facing camera, allowing Apple to market the device at a cheaper price point. The Nexus 7, which will be the iPad Mini's direct competitor, also lacks a rear-facing camera to keep costs lower.
Apart from the absence of a camera, the casing reveals nothing remarkable and appears to be using the same aluminium finish found on the regular iPad models.
