An Irish consumer recently posted images of his destroyed Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. He claimed the phone exploded spontaneously when he attached it to the dashboard of his car. The man wasn't hurt in the event, but the allegedly big white flame and sparks have completely destroyed the bottom of the phone. As of yet, it's uncertain if the phone was faulty, or if the explosion was caused by the combination of the car holder and the car's central heating system.
Despite it being an isolated event, Samsung has reported to take the case very seriously. An investigation has been started to determine the cause of the incident. Samsung will reveal the results soon.
