Colorful is the first manufacturer to have developed a completely passive cooler for Nvidia's GeForce GTX 680 graphics card. Given the card's high TDP of 195 watts, it's an exceptional feat. It's possible that the Chinese hardware manufacturer has taken energy-saving precautions to reduce the power consumption. In order to keep the card chilled passively, an additional heatsink with 140 cooling fins has to be attached to the back of the GPU.

The number of cooling fins on the front is identical to that of the rear, making for a total of 280 fins, connected by six 8 mm heatpipes. The heatsinks contain seven more heatpipes, each with a six millimetre diameter. The total cooling surface reportedly exceeds over 6 square foot. Colorful has yet to reveal the technical details, including clock frequencies. The card can be run in a Tri-SLI configuration, with two other GTX 680 cards. Colorful reports that its iGame GTX 680 card will also stay cool when overclocked. Details on pricing and availability are unknown.
