Samsung has quietly expanded its Series 5 line of notebooks with two new models, based on AMD's 'Trinity' Accelerated Processing Units. The 14-inch model is based on the quad-core A10 4655M, while the 13.3-inch version uses a dual-core A6 4455M APU. Both are part of Trinity's low-power series, featuring respective TDPs of 25 and 17 watts.
Apart from the processors and size, the two new Samsung Series 5 notebooks show lots of similarities. Both devices have a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and 4 GB of DDR3 memory, which can optionally be expanded to 8 GB. The 13.3-inch model has a 500 GB 5400 RPM hard disk, while the 14-inch laptop offers 750 GB of storage capacity.
