Lepa has developed a new kilowatt power supply. The G1000-MA is sized 15 x 18.3 x 8.6 centimetres and has a partially modular design. The cabling for CPU and motherboard, as well as two PCI-Express 6+2-pin cables for graphics cards, cannot be removed. Optionally, two additional PCI-e 6+2-pin connectors can be attached, in addition to twelve SATA connectors and eight 4-pin Molex plugs.

The G1000 has an 80Plus Gold award, which guarantees a minimum efficiency of 87% and at least 90% under a typical 500-watt load. Most of the power comes from four +12V rails, each delivering up to 30 amps. As expected from a high-end power supply, protective features have been implemented to prevent short-circuiting, overvoltages and undervoltages. Lepa's latest creation is chilled by a 140 mm fan which, thanks to its low RPM, should operate silently.

The Lepa G1000-MA will be available the 23rd of June.
