ASUS has stated during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that it will release a new tablet in the Infinity series. The manufacturer's website now lists the specifications of the TF700T and reveals that the Infinity tablets feature either a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait dual-core processor, or Nvidia's Tegra 3 T33 platform.

An optional keyboard is available, which also serves as a dock and additional battery to extend the 6-hour battery life. The 10.1-inch Super IPS+ screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 has a 1920x1200 pixel resolution and a specified brightness of 600 cd/m2. The pixel density of the tablet is 222.5 ppi. In comparison, Apple's latest iPad has a 2048x1535 pixel resolution and a 264 ppi pixel density. ASUS' new Infinity has 64 GB of storage capacity, SonicMaster technology and a metallic finish.

Notebookcheck claims that ASUS will launch the new Infinity tablet on June 10 in Italy, at a recommended price of €599 (£480).
