Optoma has designed a successor to its compact Pico PK301 LED projector, the Pico PK301+. The biggest improvement is the projection LED. New techniques allow for double the light output compared to the PK301. As such, the beamer is capable of projecting images ranging from 5 inches up to 150 inches. The contrast ratio is specified to be 3000:1.

The PK301+ is sized 120x70x30 mm and weighs only 235 grams. Apart from projecting images from any of the mini-HDMI, VGA, AV or micro-USB inputs, the integrated media player also allows media files to be opened directly from a microSD card of up to 32GB. Optoma claims that the projector runs up to 90 minutes on the integrated battery. An optional high-capacity battery should increase the battery life by up to five hours. Sound is provided by an integrated 0.5 watt speaker.

The PK301+ is available as of today and is listed in our price comparison tool at a price of £258.
