With the release of the Gigabyte's second version of its X58 Extreme motherboard drawing near, TechConnect Magazine reports that the board will be renamed to GA-X58A-UD7. The motherboard features a large cooling setup, even allowing users to add the northbridge to a watercooling system.
The LGA 1366 socket supports Intel's Core i7 processors, combined with up to six DDR3-memory modules. Four PCI-Express x16 slots are present. The board sports six SATA II-connectors, as well sa four SATA 6 Gbps-ports. Also integrated is 2x USB 3.0, two eSATA-ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio, FireWire, Power- and Clear CMOS buttons, and last but not least, an LED-display to visualize diagnostics.
It's still unclear when Gigabyte's GA-X58-UD7 motherboard will be released. The board's recommended pricetag will be specified around $400 USD.
