Dell is working on a new line of notebooks based on Intel's energy efficient CULV platform. The new notebooks will be positioned in the Inspiron Z series and will be significantly thinner than conventional laptops. The decreased power consumption also allows for a longer battery life. Though little details have been released on Dell's Inspiron Z series, it's already clear that we can expect models with screen diameters of 11,6, 14 and 15 inch.
Dell's Inspiron Z line-up is to be released in the fall, later this year and is to become a direct competitor of Acer's new Timeline series.
