SilverStone: reset your BIOS externally

By Marc Mouthaan, Thursday 16 October 2008 21:20, source: DarkVision Hardware, SilverStone

SilverStone's SST-CLEARCMOS makes it possible to reset the BIOS-chip on the motherboard, without having to open the case. According to the manufacturer, this is the ideal solution for an unsuccessful overclocking attempt. The external reset button can be placed in a regular expansion slot and features a red cap to prevent accidental triggering. The 80 cm cable is used to attach the button to the two or three pins on the motherboard.
