Earlier this week, MSI announced the EX300 notebook, a lightweight notebook made out of magnesium and weighing only 1.9 kg (incl. battery). The laptop is equipped with a 13.3" LCD TFT-screen and is sized 303 mm x 232 mm x 24-30 mm. It uses an Intel Centrino 2 processor, on Intel's PM45 Express Chipset with an ATI HD3450 graphics card with 256 MB memory. The EX300 has room for up to 4GB of DDR2 memory. As harddisk there's the option between a 160 GB, a 250 GB, or a 320 GB SATA drive.

The MSI EX300 has plenty of features. The notebook has an HDMI- and D-sub output, eSATA port and two USB 2.0 connectors. It also features Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0.  MSI has also added a 2.0 megapixel webcam, fingerprintscanner and an SD/MMC/MS cardreader to the laptop. To finish it off, it has an integrated Blu-Ray reader / DVD±RW burner. The notebooks come with Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed.
